Tech Savvy Volunteers Are Needed!

Are you tech savvy?  Looking for ways to a make a difference for people with visual or hearing impairments? Our charity is looking for volunteers who can assist us with using software and webware to make our educational webinars accessible for people with visual and hearing impairments.

Are you interested in video or audio production?  This volunteer work can be done on your own time and we can provide some training for individuals who consider themselves to be tech savvy, who use YouTube and who feel confident in learning software and webware.  It is not necessary to have audio or video editing experience – however this is an added asset. 

Qualifications

  • Internet Searching Capabilities
  • We will train the right candidate!

Deliverables / Duties

Our goal is to create podcasts and transcripts of 100 webinars.

Time Commitment

4 hours per week

Volunteer Educators –  Bloggers, Writers, Editors

Are you a social media enthusiast with a keen interest in work wellness and health? Do you love to write? We are building a volunteer team of bloggers and social media communicators.

Social media enthusiasts will assist us with promoting webinars on work wellness, disability prevention, work accommodation for people with mental health, or other chronic health conditions.

Help us disseminate findings from current high quality research to help promote safe, healthy, inclusive and productive workplaces.

Some ways you can contribute:

• Craft a narrative through different media using content from our webinar series that compels key constituents to spread the word, share new knowledge, tools and resources

• Interview selected researchers and webinar presenters to understand the human story underpinning their research.

Deliverables / Duties

Create and report compelling stories that inspires our audience to implement policies and processes to support inclusive and diverse work environments welcoming to people with chronic health challenges.

4 hours per week

​Digital Marketing Volunteer

We are seeking the help of a volunteer to assist us with a range of digital marketing efforts including updating our social media marketing posts with approved material, and creating and editing 1-5 minute video clips for our social media accounts. You will be responsible for trimming and editing video footage segments, inputting music, graphics and effects to highlight our educational resources. If you have the qualifications, experience, and the desire to donate your time, please send us a copy of your resume.  This position is project based as we are updating our site, but may result in additional responsibilities for the right candidate.

Qualifications

Internet search skills, social media experience, office clerical and administrative skills.  Are you creative and willing to learn? Don't have video editing skills, don't worry! We will provide training and supervision for the right candidate.

Deliverables / Duties

Video clips for social media, updated social media posts scheduled.

10 hours per week

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Consultant

We are looking for some consultation and assistance with setting up our Non-Profit version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

We need some help with establishing / reviewing the field structure under CRM to manage our regular activities including event registration, volunteer tracking, e-commerce, donations.
We are also in need of assistance in converting/importing recent events and donation history (not extensive) into the updated CRM. Our organization is not much different than other organizations for activities.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamic CRM
  • Understanding of Data Importing and fields

Deliverables / Duties

Consultation on steps to design our Non-Profit CRM to manage our workflow, contacts and events.
